More with Baby Blake!

He is just as sweet and pretty on his second day of life as he was on his first!

My Mother and all her grandsons

Yesterday Erik was holding Reid and Reid kept pointing to Blake saying "Baby...Baby" That is what he is doing now in this picture. What a smart boy I have!

Blake sticks his tongue out a lot!

Blake will go home tomorrow so be sure to check back for more pictures of our newest family addition!

This week at the Vineyards

Here are some pictures from our past week. It really is just too hot to do much of anything!
Jake had baseball practice this week with Coach Vineyard.

Jake hittin' one "outta the park"

Nice shirt Coach Vineyard! (He refuses to get any of his good shirts sweaty)

Thursday morning I couldn't find Jake and Reid but I could hear them. I finally found them in the bathroom cabinet.

Reid was not going to let go of this jug of toys. I think he mistook it for a jug of cookies!

Hanging out in the big white chair.

As I have said in previous posts, we have had a tradition for getting together every Thursday night for dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. Well this past Thursday night was the last night that it would just be the six of us. Jenny will be induced on Tuesday the 5th and by Wednesday Jake and Reid should have a new cousin to play with. We will have to make that a table for 7 next time.
She is ready! (Be sure to check back next week for pictures of the new cousin!)

I hope the little cousin can keep up with these two!

Keeping cool in the July heat.

Our friends Mrs. Ronnie and Emma came over for a visit today. After playing in the backyard, we cooled down with some Popsicles!

Jake, as usual, drawing attention to himself!

You would have never guessed this was the first time Reidy ever had a Popsicle. He mowed through his in seconds! Xan says you don't need to tell a Vineyard how to eat!

She arrived pristine and pretty and left a sticky mess....sorry Ronnie!

We have lift off!

After months of waiting, Reidy is finally walking. He started walking on 4th of July night. He looked like a cross between Frankenstein and Otis Campbell from Andy Griffith. It took him a few days to really get going, but now he's walkin' up a storm!

Quick check in the mirror to make sure he looks as good as he thinks he does!

We're proud of our boy!

VBS, Volunteer Project, Baby Shower, Move & Half-Marathon!

June was a whirlwind month for us. The first week we had Vacation Bible School at our church. The next two weeks I volunteered at a fitness camp at the downtown Boys and Girls Club. After that I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law. We sold our house, so the day after the shower we began packing to move the following Wednesday. We moved into a house on Wednesday and on Saturday I ran my first half marathon. That is why the posts have been slow coming.

The beverage table

Stuffed strawberries. They were fabulous!

Campbell's Petit Fours. They were so moist and delicious!

There were 4 mothers-to-be at Jenny's shower! Don't drink the water!!

My dear sweet sister-in-law Jenny. Baby boy Bartlam is due the first of August. Jake and Reid can't wait for cousin "Bob" to get here.

The day after the shower we began to pack. Over the past 6 years of marriage, Xan and I have accumulated a bunch of junk!

Reidy heckled me as I packed.

We moved in on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday we closed on the house and the next morning I ran the Renaissance Half-Marathon in Ridgeland. Xan and my boys were there to greet me when I finished. Crossing the finish line was a fantastic way to kiss the month of June good-bye!!

We even got medals for finishing.

My boys relaxing after a loooooong month!
