Our low key week

Against my better judgement, I let Jake take Reid for a spin on the 4-wheeler. Not to worry, I was beside them during the ride. Reid loved it and did not want to get off!

Miss Emilee came for a visit on Friday. They really enjoy playing together. Jake even shared his 4-wheeler with Emilee.....It must be love!

ARRRGH!! Jake's friend Mason had a pirate party for his 5th birthday on Saturday. They went on a treasure hunt to find a tattoo, hat, eye patch, earring, sword, and telescope. Unfortunately for Xan, Jake liked wearing his earring a little too much.

Easter Sunday

Spring Break at the Vineyard's

Here is Reid finally interested in the "Retro Rocket" that Santa brought him for Christmas. He can now climb on and push hiself around. He can even push the sound effect buttons!

Notice the milk dripping from Reid's chin. In five days we have gone through 2 gallons of milk. Do you know how much milk costs these days?!!

Jake and his very best buddy Will McCleese. Will and his momma and baby brother came for a visit this morning.

I made these Easter cupcakes for Jake to take to his class party.

Our Little Reid!

If you look closely you can see that our poor boy is broken out on his face. He is also broken out everywhere else on his little body. Reid has hives that broke out on Tuesday. He looks like he fell in an ant bed! We spent yesterday morning with Dr. Welch who put him on a steroid. This month has been a banner month for sickness in our house. It has been one thing after another. We're hoping our luck will change in April!

Reid's 1st Birthday

We had Reid's 1st Birthday party on Saturday March 8th. We had a brunch and invited close family & friends. It turned out really nice only I made the mistake of scheduling it right in the middle of Reid's nap time. Reid greeted guests for all of about 30 minutes, blew his candle out, and was then sent to bed! Maybe next year he'll get to participate!

The food was fabulous if I do say so myself! All our breakfast favorites were there and the food went fast! Especially the Cinnamon Roll-Ups!

Reid's Cake! I went with a pastel blue & green color scheme and it turned out nice.

My mother found this elephant that matched the party colors perfectly. Everyone signed it to wish Reid a Happy Birthday. That is Reid's Aunt Colleen signing the elephant and Reid's "Bon Bon" in the pink!
