Jake's Last Day of Kindergarten

Jake's Kindergarten class had their final farewell party. This has been the most party-havin' group of people that I have ever encountered. If nothing else, Jake will have learned how to throw and host and great get-together.
Anyway, we all got together for one more final who-rah!!

It really was a mighty sweet group of children this year. Sweet parents, too! Can never say enough great things about First Pres Day School!!

Macy, the gal with the pizza, was Jake's main squeeze this year.

I guess it's no wonder that Reid thinks he should get to do everything that his big brother gets to do because he DOES get to do everything his big brother gets to do!

One more craft for old times sake!!

Giving of the teacher's gifts.

Class List!

Final Final last day... They said it was optional.
Yeah...I don't think so--if the doors are open, we're there!

Last day as a Kindergartner.....sorta sad. Notice how faded the blue shirt is. Guess we won't be passing that one down to little brother after all.

Here is Reid right before we headed out to go get Jake for the last time.
Let's go get brother and get this summer thang kicked off....green frog-boot style!

Mrs. Pringle could not have been a better fit for Jake. She really made Kindergarten so much fun! Jake learned so much and always looked forward to going to school. The credit goes all to Mrs. Pringle and Mrs. Pittman.
Mrs. Pringle is retiring after this year. Jake says it's because she will never have another student as special as him. Promise you...that's what he said and meant!

Jake's best friend Ben here with their teacher.

I will miss Mrs. Pittman, but she will still be here next year. Hopefully my little Reidy will get the pleasure of having her as his teacher when he gets to FPDS.

Who's that soon to be first grader peaking at me through the bushes?!!!!
Are we are ready for the summer, or what??!!!

FPDS Field Day

Who are we kidding...I have been a complete schmuck where my blog is concerned. You know and I know, and you know I know you know. No excuses...I am just sorry.
This post is from last May's FPDS Field Day. The week before school lets out for the summer the school throws a gigantic field party with relays, face painting, bounce houses and tons of food and goodies. This years theme was the wild west. It was a lot of fun!!!

Gathered for prayer and National Anthem

Jake's class row for the relay

Lined up to do some over and under with water balloons

Reid was thrilled to be apart...

Jake with Ben and Abby and the two best teachers a kid could ever have--
Mrs. Pringle and Mrs. Pittman

Reidy and Ellen...boy has their little friendship blossomed since this picture was taken!
(Ellen is now referred to as Reid's "Favorite Gurl")

Reid, as always, thinks he is one of the participants of the field day.

One of the "craft" tables offers bloody bandages
(But of course!)

Other then going home with some other kids New Balance tennis shoes, Field Day was a hit. So much fun and I have about 8 more times to attend....yikes!
