Some of Blake, some of Jake

Well little Blake is still causing quite a stir at the Bartlam house. Not much of a sleeper (unless it's in the middle of the day when no one minds being disturbed!). He often seems to have tummy issues that keep him cranky. Even so, he is such a cute little man!

You would have to know us to appreciate this picture but Jake has been Purby's greatest enemy ever since he was born. Here Purby is letting Jake pet him. I think the screaming baby has become the new enemy number 1 in Purby's mind, freeing him to make peace with Jake.

Jake playing peek-a-boo with Blake.

The fabulous swing. A must-have for anyone with a newborn. (It saved our lives when Jake was born!)

Though it won't make them happy forever!

Jake doing the "robot" before school on Monday. You would really have to see this done in person, but Jake really has some great dance moves. Watch out ladies!

Jake's First Day of School!

The summer is officially over for The Vineyard Brothers! Big Brother Jake is headed back to school. Even though he'll only be gone three days a week, Reidy and I won't know what to do with ourselves while he's away!

I tried to move Reid out of the way and when I did Jake grabbed his hand and said "It's alright, he can be in my picture."

Jake is growing up so fast! It is hard to believe but this time next year Jake will start Kindergarten.

I think Reid was protesting Jake leaving him for the morning. He was not happy!

Jake and his new teacher Mrs. Morgan.

Jake has his very own cubby hole this year to keep his things in. He is very proud of it!

I took Reid to get donuts after we dropped off Jake.

Time to pick up Jake!

He had a good first day!

We fell into a bit of a predicament when Jake found out we went to the donut shop without him. I find the fastest way to make up for such a blunder is to head straight to the nearest McDonald's for a fix all Happy Meal. It smooths over any sticky situation in our family.

Swimming at Maley's

After picking Jake up from his first day of school, I was so excited talking to him about it that I forgot he had swim lessons today. We flew home, grabbed his shorts and towel and headed to Maley's.

Reid's special frog chair he likes to sit in while watching Big Brother swim.

Jake jumping to Mrs. Lisa. She is such a good teacher and is great with Jake.

Sunday Morning

Sunday morning right before we left for church the boys took off out the door for the wet grass.

Jake walked in front of Reid as he was getting his picture taken. Reid obviously was not pleased!

Best Friends!

The boys will spontaneously hug throughout the day. They really enjoy one another! Every night, after they've had their bath, Jake always asks "Can Reidy stay up just a little longer?"

Adjusting!

Baby Blake came home yesterday and (as with all newborns) has come alive!

Erik taking Blake to give Jenny a break.

I too had the same expression on my face when I found out I was related to Erik!

He still can't get over it!

The cousin (and a trip to the park with their Grandparents) wore my boys out!

More with Baby Blake!

He is just as sweet and pretty on his second day of life as he was on his first!

My Mother and all her grandsons

Yesterday Erik was holding Reid and Reid kept pointing to Blake saying "Baby...Baby" That is what he is doing now in this picture. What a smart boy I have!

Blake sticks his tongue out a lot!

Blake will go home tomorrow so be sure to check back for more pictures of our newest family addition!
